Kindness can transform someone’s dark moment with a blaze of light. You’ll never know how much your caring matters. Make a difference for another today.

According to the National Council on Aging,

“Approximately 1 in 10 Americans aged 60+ have experienced some force of elder abuse. Some estimates range as high as 5 million elders who are abused each year. One study estimated that only 1 in 14 cases of abuse are reported to authorities…Two thirds of perpetrators are adult children or spouses.”

Tri-County TRIAD presently operates a small outreach program that connects our volunteers to older adults in our community who have experienced elder abuse or are at risk to experience elder abuse or crime. Through this program we maintain monthly contact with participants and link them to local community resources and services to improve their quality of life and safety. Participants are referred to TRIAD by local law enforcement and/or fire personnel. This program is invaluable to those who participate. TRIAD volunteers are often their only visitor and/or trusted person in their life.

Additionally, each year TRIAD hosts our annual event, No Senior Without Christmas (NSWC). For more information on this beloved outreach event, please visit the NSWC page .
